September 12, 2011 September 2011 Meeting Minutes
September 12, 2011. The regular monthly board meeting was called to order by Chariperson Paul Toft. The minutes of the August 20, 2011 meeting were read by the treasurer. Minutes approved as read. Notice of the meeting was posted in the Rice Lake Chronotype and Town Shop. All members but Supervisor Steve Schultz present.
Treasurer’s and road reports were given. Repair on 15th Street & 26th Avenue has been completed. Approaches were completed and shoulders will be completed soon. Paving on 29 ½ Avenue was finished. New bridge signs will be up by September 14, 2011. 14th Street and 25 ½ Avenue received gravel.
Bids for new ditch mower were again discussed. Baribeau Implement came down another $3400. A motion was made by Dennis Willger to accept the bid from Baribeau with the Mackenzie mower. The motion was seconded by Paul Toft and was carried.
Bids for a new ditch mower were reviewed and are as follows:
Baribeau Implement – Tractor $56,900 & McKenzie Mower $41,0368 plus freight
Tractor Central – Tractor $60,750 & Diamond Mower $39,578
Frontier Ag – Tractor $60,000 & McKenzie Mower $60,000
Link Implement – Tractor $52,000 & Mower $31,000
The reading of the employee grievence resolution was done. A motion was made by Dennis Willger to accept the resolution. The motion was seconded by Paul Toft and the motion was carried.
