October 20, 2009 October 2009 Meeting Minutes
The regular monthly board meeting was called to order by Chariperson Paul Toft. The minutes of the September 10, 2009 meeting were read by the clerk. Minutes approved as read. Notice of the meeting was posted in the Rice Lake Chronotype, Town Shop, and town web page. All members present.
Treasurer’s and road reports were given. $119K CD is going to be pulled to cover upcoming road construction bills.
Butternut Lake Aeration project has been put on hold pending the revisions on the contract sent back from DNR. Steve will be checking with the Town’s insurance company to see about possible liability coverage.
A motion was made by Steve Schultz and was seconded by Dennis Willger to accept the joint powers agreement. The agreement was signed by Paul Toft and forwarded to the county clerk.
Dog licenses for 2010 are going to increase. A motion was made by Steve Schultz to make the license price $1.00 over the county charge. This will be a recurring charge and will be automatically raised as the county raises their fees. Dennis Willger seconded the motion and the motion was carried.
