November 24, 2009 November 2009 Meeting Minutes

The regular monthly board meeting was called to order by Chariperson Paul Toft. The minutes of the October 20, 2009 meeting were read by the clerk. Minutes approved as read. Notice of the meeting was posted in the Rice Lake Chronotype, Town Shop, and town web page. All members present.
Treasurerís and road reports were given. Salt/Sand was purchased from Randy Mancl. A motion was made to purchase 4000 yds of gravel at $3.60 per yard from Randy Mancl was made by Steve Schultz. A second was made by Paul Toft and the motion was carried. One half of the gravel will be billed in 2009 with the remainder in 2010. Dennis Willger abstained from discussion and voting due to conflict.
Steve Schultz `checked with Rural Insurance concerning Butternut Lake Aeration project. The township is indemnified from liability if the Lake Association will erect signage and maintenance of the aerator if the township agrees to sponsor the project. Dennis Willger will call Jim Kohler to check on the agreement.

A motion was made by Steve Schultz and was seconded by Dennis Willger to accept 2010 Budget. The motion was carried.

A letter received from state stated that assessments must be brought up to date by 2012. Paul Toft spoke with Kelly Owen of Owen Assessing and she agreed to bring all assessments and be state compliant by 2010.
