Town of Bear Lake Monthly Meeting Minutes
Meeting was called to order at 8:05 pm by Chairman Paul Toft. Meeting was noticed the Chronotype, the Town Shop and on the Town Web Page.
Members present: Paul Toft, Dennis Willger, Steve Schultz, Linda Wiese and Pam Gannon
Meeting minutes from February meeting were read by the Clerk and accepted as presented.
Public Appearances: Jennifer Hyatt , Cumberland School Board Member speaks on the upcoming referendum for the School District of Cumberland that will be on the April 5th election.
Town Roads: Clint states they are muddy and it is to early to grade due the frost. All roads have been posted with the exceptions of 14 ½ and the North end of 17th.
Clint brings up that he heard if the posting signs do not state by the Order of the Town of Bear Lake they are not legal. Clint will take a sign to Main Street Signs and find out the cost for 30 stickers to place on the signs.
Steve has drafted a letter to be sent to town residents who have trees in right of way on town roads that need to be trimmed or removed. The board will make a list on their annual road tour and letters will be sent to residents who have trees that are a issue
Treasures report given by Linda and accepted as presented.
February bills were read by the clerk and accepted as paid.
Old Business: Emergency Operations Plan was reviewed. Dennis makes a motion to accept with the revised changes, 2nd by Steve, no further discussion all in favor motion carried. Clerk will send a copy to Barron and email to board members and a copy will be kept at the Town Shop.
ATV Route: Steve states that Jim Weber has not been in contact with him as of today.
GAB : Discussion on how the room will be set up for the April 5th election and the reason for 3 machines at this election. Clint will paint the handicapped lines prior to the election.
New Business: Fire Chief Louis Willger is sworn in for the Town of Bear Lake.
Lake area saniation sent a letter for use of town roads during the road bans, Paul signed and Clerk will send back.
Clint asked if it is possible to rent Seam Cleaner from Mancl Excavating to clean equipment. Randy will get back to board on the cost of renting.
Annual Meeting is April 19th at 8pm.
Open Book is April 26th from 6pm to 8 pm
Board of Review is May 17th 6pm to 8pm.
Payment of bills.
Next meeting is April 13th at 8pm
Meeting adjourned at 9:30 pm
