March 13 2019 Meeting Mins Town of Bear Lake
Meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Chairman Paul Toft.
Meeting was noticed at the town shop and town web page and is our regular scheduled night and time.

Public appearances None
Town Road Report Road are wet and slushy. The board would like to recognize Clint Scribner and Randy Mancl for their work during our recent snow storm.
30th Ave. Russ Furscnik will be letting town of Bear Lake know if they will be blacktopping this year. Clint asks if they should finish cutting trees on 30th and if so they will need a backhoe.
Road bans possibly to go in effect on 3/18/19.
Truck and grader are both fixed.
Wayne Minkel called Paul regarding his semi and if he is empty coming home can he park at his house. Board discussed that he could also park at town shop parking lot.
Treasures report and February bills read Steve makes a motion to accept the reports as given 2nd by Paul no further discussion motion carried.
Old Business High Speed internet, nothing new to report
New Business: Due to Clerk and treasurers’ positions being appointed rather than elected as voted by Towns people at the November 2018 election board needs to hire for these positions.
Paul makes a motion to hire Pam Gannon as Town Clerk at the pleasure of the board at her current pay of $10,000.00 a year. 2nd by Steve Schultz no further discussion motion carried.
Treasures position needs to be filled. Steve makes a motion to hire Linda Wiese as Town Treasurer at the pleasure of the board at her current pay of $7,000.00 per year. Paul 2nds the motion no further discussion motion carried.
Letter regarding cutting of trees in Town of Stanfold. Jeff Kodesh was cutting trees in Stanfold and letter was sent to Paul and he signed and had letter notarized and sent back.
Lynn’s Honey wagon and Lake area Sanitation need weight limit letters signed for current year while road bans are on so they may service holding and septic systems. Paul signed letters clerk to send back.
If any other requests for septic companies come in the Board authorizes the Chairman to sign and return. Steve makes a motion and 2nd by Paul no further discussion motion carried.
Clint will look into repairs for the dock and replace the tires and also decking if needed.
Upcoming meetings: Annual Meeting April 16th at 7:00 pm.
Open Book April 18th from 6 to 8 pm and Board of review April 25th from 6 to 8 pm.
