June 10, 2015 Meeting Minutes of Town Of Bear Lake
Meeting was called to Order at 7:05 by Chairman Paul Toft, meeting was noticed in the Rice Lake Chronotype at the Town Shop and on the Town Web Page.
Members present, Paul Toft, Steve Schultz, Linda Wiese and Pam Gannon, absent Dennis Willger.
Public Appearance’s: LeRoy Subrt is here regarding his neighbor who is diverting his cow yard into LeRoy’s back pasture where he has a watering pond for his beef cattle. The Board advises Leroy that there isn’t much they can do as for as the Town Board is concerned and advises LeRoy to contact Tyler in the Zoning office Barron as well as Russ Feldt in Spooner. Steve has seen how said neighbor is diverting the water onto the Subrt property and has pictures and will forward them to Tyler and or Russ is they would like to see them. LeRoy will be in contact with Paul and Steve after he contacts zoning and DNR.
Meeting Minutes from May meeting were read by the clerk and accepted as read.
Town Roads: Clint states that Beaver problem is under control for now.
He has the tubes in by Brian Dostals and erosion matt was used. Ditch on 14th was dug down and erosion matt used there as well.
260 yards of gravel was put on Narrow Gauge from 27th to Osterbausers.
There is a small hole started in the road on 18th and 24th and also a large hole in the road on 13th St near Randy Hanson’s Clint has this marked with red paint and will be placing black top in both areas.
Donn Thomas and winter camp road were graded today.
Bids were placed in the Rice Lake Chronotype for the 2 miles from 25th to 27th St. Bids need to be to Paul no later than July 1, 2015 and will be opened at next meeting.
Truck goes in for warranty work on Friday June 12.
Treasurers Report was given by Linda and May bills were read as paid both accepted as presented.
Old Business: Exit lights, Steve states that we are on the list for Beranek Electric.
Ordinance on temporary driveway’s Steve modified the existing ordinance to have temporary driveway language added and the 1st reading of this ordinance.
Jacob Gerlach paid for his driveway permit.
New Business: Liquor Licenses and Tabacco Licenses for Shady Rest Campground, Ellen Mizer were approved as well as bartending license for Kelly Thrasher, Jessice Eastman, Amanda Tascano and Jim Weber.
GAB polling place audit was reviewed and will work on corrections and have report back to GAB by deadline of July 15, 2015.
Discussion on destruction of old bldg. not being used.
Employee Health insurance changes, we can no longer pay towards the employees’ health insurance or reimburse employee for health insurance. A motion is made to change this to supplemental income to comply with the new law. Steve makes a motion to to pay town employee 2 payments a year for a $1,000.00 as supplemental income and payroll taxes will need to be taken out of pay. 2nd by Paul, no further discussion all in favor motion carried.
Joint Powers Aggrement between Barron Cty and Town of Bear Lake effective July 1, 2015. Steve makes a motion to approve and sign this agreement, 2nd by Paul, no further discussion all in favor motion carried.
Pam will contact Lakeland Co-op regarding summer fill for the town shop.
Payment of bills
Next meeting is July 8th at 7pm in the town meeting room.
Motion to adjourn the meeting made by Paul, 2nd by Steve no further discussion motion carried and meeting adjourned at 8:50pm.
