Meeting Minutes of Town of Bear Lake July 15, 2013 Monthly Meeting

Meeting called to order at 8:01 pm by Paul Toft. Members present, Paul Toft, Dennis Willger, Steve Schultz, Linda Wiese and Pam Gannon.

June meeting minutes were read by Pam Gannon and approved. Bills for June were read and approved.

Public Appearance: Jim Weber asks permission to talk. Jim States that a road sign is down at 18 and 29 ½ . Jim states that he contacted Steve Schultz 2 months ago and that Steve left a message for Clint. Jim is asking for sign to be put back up. Clint will take care of this.

Mr. and Mrs. Moe have concerns about to many beavers at the Plecity Bridge. Advised that this is Town of Oak Grove

Discussion of new sign at the boat landing. Steve Schultz makes a motion for posting a new sign approved by DNR and it 2nd by Dennis Willger, all in favor motion carried.

Report on Roads: Clint states that he has cut trees on 26th to boat landing. Re graveled boat landing road and also gravel on road by Jerry Houtsons house and the corner by Iver Holmstrom .

Don Dostal’s culvert has been fixed.

When working on 26th Ave. Don Dostal would like 2 of the old ones if they are in good shape.

Order culverts for 26th Ave and also for John Nielsens driveway.
Paul had a call from Jennifer from the County Shop and wanted to know if we wanted any road stripping done. Once the road is stripped it has to be maintained. At this time board has decided on no road stripping.
Mike Perry would like another driveway and Clint will talk to him.
Mary Vinopal called Pam and states that she has a various issue at Vinopal Point, Paul will contact her to tomorrow.

Crack Sealing 5 ½ miles of road. Steve has put a notice in paper and it should appear in the 7/17/13 issue. Bids need to be to Paul by 8/1/13.
Treasurer’s report given by Linda Wiese and accepted as presented.
Old Business: Ordinance to destroy old town records. 2nd reading .Motion to accept by Dennis Willger and 2nd by Steve Schultz, all in favor motion carried.

Resolution to State Historical Society. Steve Makes a motion to accept resolution and it second by Dennis Willger , roll call vote all in favor, motion carried.

Update on Federal Taxes from 2010/2012. Pam contacted IRS and it appears all fines and late fees have been assessed. Still waiting on outcome of the 10.0000 levy. Pam will contact IRS again in August.

Credit Card update: Steve Schultz has been in contact with Company. He was asked to fax copy of all current board members.

C Schedule Pam contacted Clifton Larson Allen and was told that it generally runs between $800.00 and $1500.00 for them to do the C Schedule.

New Business: John Schieffer asks if new signs can be put up at the Boat Landing regarding the Clean Boat, Clean water campaign. Also asking to move the handi cap parking sign and to add two no parking beyond this points signs. The Island residents will be notified that they still have their allotted parking spots.

Bob Moe and John Schieffer will meet with Clint to paint strips at boat landing and move sign, they will start on this tomorrow 7/16/13.

Payment of bills:

Bear Lake Assocation dues, Steve makes a motion to continue with the association, Dennis Willger 2nd, all in favor motion carried.

Next meeting is August. 26th at 8:00 pm town shop.
