August 17, 2016 Town of Bear Lake Meeting Mins.
Meeting was called to order at 8 pm by Chairman Paul Toft.
Member present: Paul Toft, Steve Schultz, Dennis Willger, Pam Gannon and Linda Wiese
Meeting was noticed at the town shop and on the town web page.
Meeting mins. From July 13th meeting were read by clerk and approved as read.
Public Appearances: Mrs. Moe is here to tell us about 2 new invasive’s that are moving north. They are the Japanese Beatle and the Japanese Knot Weed.
Town Road Report: Clint states that we have 358 yards of gravel left for this year.
Clint states that there is a tree on back side of town shop that fell over during storm and is hung up on another tree and this will need to be addressed.
Discussion of purchasing a side mower from the Town of Oak Grove for $2500.00 Clint states that he has tried the mower and it works well. Steve makes a motion to buy the side mower from Town of Oak Grove for $2500.00, 2nd by Dennis, no further discussion all in favor motion carried.
Treasures report given by Linda Steve makes a motion to accept the report, 2nd by Dennis no further discussion motion carried.
July bills were read and accepted as paid.
Old Business: ATV/ UTV Ordinance 2nd reading. Motion to accept the 2 nd reading by Dennis, 2nd by Steve. In favor Dennis and Paul, Not in favor Steve, no further discussion motion carried. Clerk will publish a summary of ordinance in Chronotype and send copies to Barron CTY Sheriffs dept and also WI. Department of Natural Resources. ATV/UTV routes/roads will be open August 24th 2016 providing proper signs are placed.
New Business: Sewer Permit for Ron Madison for a holding tank. Steve makes a motion to approve permit, 2nd by Dennis, no further discussion motion carried.
Steve Larson’s boat docks. Concern is that the docks are in the road right of way. After discussion the board will contact Russ Fell and ask that he meet with the board or part of the board and Steve to see what can be done. Also the Towns Association attorney will be contacted to discuss liability. This will be on September agenda.
Loan Application for the addition to fire hall. CCF (Community Bank of NW) Josh is here tonight to discuss the approval of loan for Town of Bear Lake. The Town of Bear Lake will work directly with Community Bank to borrow $400,000.00 at a interest rate of 2.7%, making semi-annual payments of $13,053.59 for ten years on a 20 year amortization schedule. Steve makes a motion to accept loan terms, 2nd by Dennis, no further discussion motion carried.
Sewer Permit for Bob Moe holding tank work to be done by Ken Way. Dennis makes a motion to approve permit and 2nd by Steve. No further discussion motion carried.
Payment of bills
