April 13, 2016 Town of Bear Lake Monthly Meeting Minutes
Meeting was called to order at 8:00 pm by Chairman Paul Toft, the meeting was noticed in the Chronotype, at the Town shop and on the Town Web page.
Member present: Paul Toft, Steve Schutlz, Dennis Willger, Pam Gannon and Linda Wiese
March 9th meeting minutes were read by the clerk and approved as read.
Public Appearances: None
Town Road Report: Paul states that they did their annual road tour on 4/12/16.
Road Bans will be lifted on all roads on April 22, 2016.
Clint will re paint the handicap sign at the boat landing.
Discussion of new truck will continue.
Tree’s on 26th Ave, Raatz, 17th Dean and Sue Hanson and Don Dostal. Paul will send a letter to these residence about trimming of their tress. Paul also recommends hiring Dan Peterson Tree Service to do the trimming due to the power lines.
Clint will call Brad Dostal to set up a time for him and one board member to look at roads for crack sealing.
Treasures report given by Linda and March bills were read as paid. Motion to accept these reports is made by Steve and 2nd by Dennis, no further discussion all in favor, motion carried.
Old Business: ATV routes. Jim Weber is here to discuss opening the section on 29 ½ to 18th to boat landing. Jim states that in February when he came to the meeting he was told the board would look favorably at opening this stretch if Oak Grove opened their mile of road to that the joined. Jim states that he went to Oak Grove and they did open this stretch. He is here requesting the section above be opened. Paul States that the problem is that there was to be a committee formed and as of this date that has not happened. Russell Schneider from the dirt and snow club is here to discuss options. This will be a topic at the annual meeting and on the May Agenda. In the meantime Jim Weber will form this committee.
New Business: Hold tank agreement for Tim Iehl. Motion to sign the agreement is made by Dennis, 2nd by Steve, no further discussion, motion carried.
Joint Powers agreement with Town of Bear Lake and Barron Cty. The change to this agreement is that it will renew annually unless either party decides to discontinue. This will be on May agenda.
Payment of bills
Discussion to have the meeting set on the 2nd Wend. Of the month at 8:00 pm. Steve makes a motion to have the meeting 2nd Wend of month at 8 pm through end of calendar year 2016 and to be reviewed at that time. 2nd by Dennis no further discussion all in favor motion carried.
Next meeting is May 11th at 8:00 pm
