April 13, 2010 April 2010 Meeting Minutes
The regular monthly board meeting was called to order by Chariperson Paul Toft. The minutes of the March 4, 2010 meeting were read by the clerk. Minutes approved as read. Notice of the meeting was posted in the Rice Lake Chronotype, Town Web Page, as well as the Town Shop. All members present.
Treasurer’s and road reports were given. The culverts on 14 ½ street will be replaced with one bigger one. Steve Schultz presented information on Prevailing Wage for a project on 13th that will be done this summer. The annual road and bridge check will be held on April 22, 2010 at 10am.
Sue and Lance Ritchie were present and requested a variance to construct an addition and another outer building that has reduced set backs from a town road. The form was signed by Chairperson Paul Toft with that of no opinion from the town board.
A motion was made by Supervisor Steve Schultz to renew the membership with the Bear Lake Association. The motion was seconded by Supervisor Dennis Willger and the motion was passed.
Discussion was heard on a no wake zone on Bear Lake by DNR Russ Fell. The motion was made by Supervisor Dennis Willger to proceed with filings and postings. The motion was seconded by Supervisor Steve Schultz and was passed.
Open book for 2010 was set for Tuesday, May 25, 2010 from 4 – 6 pm with the Board of Review to immediately follow from 6 – 8 pm.
