August 10, 2011 August 2011 Meeting Minutes
August 10, 2011. The regular monthly board meeting was called to order by Chariperson Paul Toft. The minutes of the July 2011 meeting were read by the treasurer. Minutes approved as read. Notice of the meeting was posted in the Rice Lake Chronotype and Town Shop. All members but clerk present.
Treasurer’s and road reports were given. Chip sealing has been completed. Payment for insurance for Town Patrolman will be decided at upcoming meeting.
Bids for a new ditch mower were reviewed and are as follows:
Baribeau Implement – Tractor $56,900 & McKenzie Mower $41,0368 plus freight
Tractor Central – Tractor $60,750 & Diamond Mower $39,578
Frontier Ag – Tractor $60,000 & McKenzie Mower $60,000
Link Implement – Tractor $52,000 & Mower $31,000
The board will be going on a road tour to view the tractors & mowers and they will be discussed at the upcoming September meeting.
Discussion was held concerning the weight limit on the Narrow Gauge rd. It will be made into a seasonal limit and the speed limit will be left as is.
Resolutions were discussed for an employee grievance policy. This will be established at a future meeting.
